Maya Angelou (1928- ) is an American author who has made an everlasting mark on the world with her five volumes of autobiographies, her five collections of poems, and her children's book Kofi and His Magic. To further reinforce the messages of her memoirs, Ms. Angelou travels the globe, speaking to people of all ages about her life struggles and triumphs... inspiring others to persevere toward their goals and dreams with strength and pride.... regardless of the challenges and struggles they face.
