
![]() Helen Keller (1880-1968) was an educator, writer, and an advocate for the blind and the deaf. Deaf and blind herself from the time she was 19 months old as the result of a severe illness, Ms. Keller's remarkable life and her efforts to improve conditions for individuals who live with disabilities continue to inspire people throughout the world. Despite the incredible challenges of being both deaf and blind, Helen Keller saw the world very clearly with great hope. She went to college, learned to read, write and speak, she met many influential people, and she helped move the world to a better place for others that would follow her. Helen Keller made her dreams come true... and her life is an inspiring example of how "anything is possible". Helen Keller is an amazing Can Do! individual whose life will forever illustrate how a "can-do" attitude and using our abilities in our own best way can help us make a huge difference in our own lives, and in the lives of many others.
